SPAC Closing Ceremony

KNPC celebrated the closing ceremony of Suppliers Partnership Advisory Council (SPAC) the first session of years 2009-2011 on Wednesday, May 30th, 2011, in Hall Diamond at Sheraton Hotel- Kuwait under the presence of Mr. Asaad Al-Saad, Dy. Chairman & DMD, MAA Refinery and Chairman – SPAC. The ceremony was attended by DMDs, Managers, Employees of KNPC and Kuwait Local Companies.

 The ceremony started with a welcome speech of Mr. Al-Saad who has expressed his pleasure to the participants of this event which is renewed each two years by honoring the previous SPAC members and nominating the new members by evaluated the best performance of the Local Companies (Vendors, Contractors, Manufacturers & Consultants). Further Mr. Al Saad conveyed that this ceremony signifies as one family spirit. Mr. Mohammad Mosa on behalf of Mr. Husain Al Kharafi, (Kuwait Industries Union (KIU) – Chairman) has delivered in his speech the efforts of SPAC to build the partnership between KNPC and Local Companies.

However Mr. Mahmoud Layri, Team Leader of Quality Assurance & Suppliers services (QA&SS), delivered a presentation on the history and achievements of the Suppliers Service Center (SSC) and briefed the establishment of Suppliers Partnership Advisory Council’s (SPAC) structure and nature of work.

End of the event, Appreciation Certificates and token gifts have been distributed to the previous SPAC members and the best Top five performances of Local Companies have been selected through a draw. These companies are the new SPAC members whose next activities/session will start for the years 2011-2013.

The new SPAC members for the years 2011-2013 are:-

1. M/S. Rezayat Trading Co., from the Vendors category

 2. M/S. Integral Services Co., from the Contractors category

 3. M/S. Al Sanea Chemical Products from the Manufactures category

4. M/S. Gulf Spic from the EPC category.
