1) Why we are not included in the list of Limited VEC/CEC tenders?

 

Ø  Please check your records for updating with VEC/CEC, as a local agent for the respective Manufacturer. If your local agency certificate is expired and not renewed or updated with VEC/CEC, then your name might have been excluded from the Local Agent list against the respective manufacturer, on which case, you will not be able to submit your bid. Upon renewal/updation of your local agency against the respective manufacturer, your name will be included as a as a local agent for the respective Manufacturer.

2) Requests for the specified drawing details in the item specifications

Ø  Details shall be provided as & when it is requested, from the bidders.

3) Request for Part Numbers, Serial Numbers, Tag Numbers etc of the related equipment

Ø  Details shall be provided as & when it is requested, from the bidders.

4) Can we provide an alternative model for the specified item?

Ø  You can submit the offer for alternative model, provided there is justification from the OEM’s that the original model no longer exists and that alternative model is the replacement one and complies fit and function wise with respect to the old model.

               However the acceptance of the alternative model and its offer solely lies with KNPC.

5) Can we submit offers from a different manufacturer other than the specified list?

Ø  By all probable’s, the item should be supplied from the approved manufacturers only. In the event of non availability, offers from different manufacturers may be submitted, however acceptance of such offers from manufactures other than the approved ones, is at the discretion of KNPC.

6) Can we increase the quantity of items, to meet the minimum order value?

Ø  No, we cannot the increase the quantity of items.

7) In case if there is error in the prices entered in the CWP and Form of tender or attachments?

Ø    Bidder shall fill-up carefully ‘unit price’ and ‘total price’ in the relevant price attachments/offers for each line item. Bidder to ensure that the ‘Bid total’ obtained from the Total price of Attachments/offers is carried forward to the Form of Tender, without any error. In the event of any error or mismatch in Bid Total obtained from the CWP (Summary Total) and that mentioned against total price in the Attachments/offers and/or in the Form of Tender, then lowest of the aforesaid bid totals shall be taken into consideration, which shall remain fixed and final irrespective of any errors and the quoted unit rates shall be accordingly re-adjusted.

8) Can we submit alternative bids?

Ø    Yes, You can submit alternative bids, however, bidder wishing to submit one or more alternative Bids, shall arrange with KNPC through commercial Web Page Help Desk (telephone No. 320 7792 / 320 7794) to provide them with Alternate Login to enable participating with the alternative Bid.

9) Will the RFQ be cancelled without any notice?

Ø    KNPC has the right to cancel the tender at any time, without notice. The bidder(s) would neither be entitled nor would have any right to claim for any compensation of any type.

Ø     KNPC is not responsible for paying any compensations, or expenses or losses incurred by the Bidder when preparing and submitting his offer even if the tender is cancelled after the issuance.

 

   

How do we register in CWP?

NON VEC:

  • Requesting letter in their company letter head

  • Current year of registration with Kuwait chamber of commerce

  • Valid Man Power certificate(Validity:1 year)

  • Company license

  • Leasing contract/ownership certificate of company location

  • Requesting letter in their company letter head

  • Current year of registration with Kuwait chamber of commerce

  • Valid Man Power certificate(Validity:1 year)

  • Company license

  • Leasing contract/ownership certificate of company location

VEC:

  • Requesting letter in their company letter head.

  • V/CEC registration certificate copy

Foreign Vendors:

  • Requesting letter in their company letter head

  • Current year of registration with local chamber of commerce in the Country of Orgin

Can I bid for all the tenders published in CWP?

  • For all the public enquiries you will have the option to enter your bid in CWP.

  • For Limited/shortlisted enquiries, only if your name is included in the bidder’s list, you can enter your bid.

What is the difference between CWP registration and V/CEC?

  • V/CEC is the registration of Company with KNPC to provide services, subject to KNPC VEC/CEC Committees’ approval.

  • CWP registration is required for online bidding for any company, who would like to participate in KNPC’s enquiries, subject to their eligibility to participate in such enquiries.

I am the Local Agent for the specified manufacturer but still i'm not able to bid online?

  • Please check your records for updating with VEC/CEC, as a local agent for the respective Manufacturer. Requesting for extension of closing dates?

  • A request for extension, from the bidder shall be lodged in CWP register, which will be reviewed by KNPC. Closing date may be extended, at the discretion of KNPC

What is " Supplier Partnership Program"?

 To improve partnership relation between KNPC and the local suppliers

  • A relation that promotes both sides interests.

  • A relation that promotes Kuwait's economy interests.

  • A friendly and courteous relation where each side understands and appreciates the other side circumstances and requirements.

What is " Supplier Service Center"?

 Supplier Service Center is help to local suppliers inquiries and conduct periodic awareness meetings for Suppliers & Contractors.

What are the required documents for CWP username and password?

       For local companies

1)       Requesting letter in company letter head including contact details (Contact person name, Tel. No. (Land line), Fax No., E-Mail address).

2)       Current year Chamber of Commerce and Industry Certificate.

3)       Manpower Certificate copy to reflect the local manpower percentage from Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (Valid for ONE Year).

4)       Company Commercial License from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

5)       Leasing Contract or Ownership Certificate of Company Location

       For foreign companies

1)       Requesting letter in company letter head including contact details (Contact person name, Tel. No. (Land line), Fax No., E-Mail address).

2)    VEC/CEC approval letter or Chamber of Commerce certificate copy (English Translated)
